And Finally The Easter Recipe(S)!!!

now this might take a while (i started at 9:30 am and ended  around 1:15 ish) but its worth while, the taste, and look on people`s faces is gold! to start gather 9 large eggs, says the recipe, but i used nine but had enough batter for about 3 to 4 more eggs so i sugest more than 9 (around 12 ish, probably no more) useing a bottle opener poke a hole in the bigger bottom of the egg:

lots of pictures!!!

so my sister and her friend were making rainbow cupcakes (my sis saw me watching the tutorial :D) and so she let me put the batter, and decorate 2 cupcakes, and i thought the ones she and her friend had made were really cute 🙂 so ya. and with those easter nests, i added some melted fudge and put in some candy coated chocolate eggs (and the spots of brown are supposed to be there, their not rotten)

her friend’s cupcakes

and the ones my sis made… and her name is Irina pronounced i-ree-nah and she did her name

and the eggs and birds in the nests

and some random cupcake pictures 🙂 😀 😛 enjoy! 🙂

Easter nest with eggs cupcake topper, or apatizer

now this recipe involves some fillo, they are a type of super thin pastery, and are probably thinner than one mm! I made a mistake of not letting the stuff thaw at first, and that is important! i ruined a few layers. After they have bee n thawed you need to cut the pasterie into thin strips, and the quantity is depending on how many nests you are planning to make, i only used a little because i am making a decoration for Easter, with cake pops and stuff, and i wanted to see if this will work. It defanetly worked well! 🙂 😀 and i did have some candy covered chocolate eggs, but they seemed really old, so instead i filled the nests with berries and fruit. now back to the recipe!!! sorry i get off track! after cutting THIN strips but them in a bowl (big enough to hold them all) then spred them apart so they dont stick ,and add some melted butter. now again like i said i kinda winged it, i added a bit too much butter but it turned out ok. after covering them all evenly, add some cinimon sugar. i dont have any and dont know what that is! but i added some sugar with some cinimon (more sugar than cinimon, because its a very strong spice!) but do use cinimon sugar if u know, and have some. cook at 190 c (375 f) until golden brown, i did over cook mine kinda, so i sugest that u keep them  in for 5 min, and check on them (i put them in for 6 min, and only took them out when the timer rang.) if you want let them cool, but take them out with a tooth pic or somthing small. add some candy eggs, im planning on putting little beaks and eyes on the eggs to look like birds, and some eggs to look like some hatched. now you can use them for cupcake toppers, apatisers, or just for a quick and tasty snack. they were delicios!!! to glue the eggs to the nest use some icing, candy melting wafers, or some melted chocolate 🙂 😀 (i would use the chocolate cuz it would taste better.) and here below are the pictures… i didnt think to take pictures untill i added the cinimon sorry… but here is a link to yoyomax’s video for it (yes i did copy 😐 but not every one goes on youtube, and they look and rant about other recipes on vlogs and blogs 🙂 😛 and here below are some pictures 🙂  😀 😛 hope it works out and helps you think of somthing for easter (not that there isnt like tons out there) and stay tuned for the tie die rainbow cake inside a real egg! (i didnt make the title)

i like to cook thngs from scratch, i mean half the fun comes from gathering the ingrediants, and the eggs u drop on the floor (but then comes cleaning!!! 😦 :|) and here is one of them now i did find this recipe for halloween, but it worked just fine with easter ideas. the only things i did diffferent then the recipe, is that i only ‘fried’ them, because it cooked and hardened just as well, i took the pictures with my tablet and i am typing on a laptop, so i hope you can see the finished product! now before i begin, i went on youtube and online and found some amasing, quick, and tasty Easter recipes!!! one of them is tie-die cake inside a real died egg shell! and another one that will only take a few minutes in a nest with little eggs and birds inside. if you would like more sheck out cupcakeproject.com it is a blog, and i found some really cool recipies, and i really recomend you look on youtube and check out yoyomax12’s chanel. she has very amasing ideas, and u have a video and a link to where she had the recipe from. even if you have seen the cake inside the real egg shell, i am making the eggs easter colors, and the cake rainbow inside. here is a like to yoyomax 12: http://www.youtube.com/user/yoyomax12?ob=0

Spiderweb Cookies

halloween recipes spiderweb cookies

This fun spiderweb cookie recipe was at Betty Crocker.  It’s not difficult, even though the end result looks like it might be.

  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • Powdered (icing) sugar for dusting
  1. Combine all ingredients and beat well. Fill a plastic squeeze bottle with the batter.  (I use a ketchup or mustard bottle that has been well cleaned.)
  2. Heat lightly oiled skillet on medium until hot.
  3. Squeeze the batter to form4 straight lines that cross in the center.  Then connect them together with slightly bowed lines to form the spider web effect.
  4. Cook until the bottom is golden brown – about 30-60 seconds.  Flip carefully and cook the other side is golden.  Cool on wire rack.
  5. Place cookies on a baking tray and place in a 325 degree oven for about 5-7 minutes.  Cool on wire rack (they’ll become crisp as they cool).
  6. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

halloween recipes spider chocolate candyFor added effect, melt a little chocolate (chips are fine) in the microwave for 30 seconds.  Stir and repeat until completely melted.  Place in a baggie and snip off the corner.
On waxed paper draw small spiders – One little glob in the middle with 4 legs on each side.  Allow to set.  Using some melted chocolate, ‘glue’ a spider to each cookie.  It’s great!

so i hope that helps… and here is a sneak peak at the cake eggs, (its a picture! but im doind the egg colored, and the cake inside rainbow!)      i am going to put up the recipe soon, but i want to be able to SHOW you the steps, so it will be around easter (i think about 2 days before Easter) but if u want it to look like the white cake one above go to the link for cupcake project, she has the recipe for the plane egg, and white cake. but i WILL put the colored one soon!!! so keep checking because its a great thing to surprise people, and its soooooooooooooo easy!!!!

My cookies:

Pesmet

here is one of my favorite recipes, its called Pesmet pronounced pez-met. its a Romanian recepie i think, and works great for vegetarians. you will need olive oil, salt, water, pasta, pot, pan, cooking oil, bread crums, and sugar (optional but recommended.)

first heat a pan with cooking oil on top. poor the quantity of bread crums that u like, and stir it until golden brown or burnt (depending on you taste buds, like if u like burnt foods.) next poor into bowl and taste i bit, careful its hot! add sugar if u want, or you can wait until u put it on your spaghetti. then but water in a pot, leaving enough room to boil, and sprinkle salt, and some olive oil. the olive oil will make the spaghetti soft and less chewy, also helps so it doesn’t stick together (i have home made so 🙂 .) after the water is boiling add spaghetti. check from time to time by trying out the spaghetti softened (or just cook as long as it says on the carton. take out the spaghetti and put as much bread crums as you like, add sugar if needed. and voila!!! there you have it. and under here is a picture of what it should look like. :);) thnx!ImageImage

how to make home made chicken noodle soup

you will need: one large pot, 3 cleaned carrots, one cleaned parsnip (optianal) 2 chicken drumsticks raw and defrosted, white onion cleaned, salt and pepper (or parica,) 700ml of tomatoe sauce, and psley leaves. the reason that parsnip is optional is because it evens out the sweetness that carrots make, but the soup tastes best when the recepie is fallowed EXACLY i learned that the hard way.

instructions:

put carrots, parsnip, onion, and  chicken drum sticks in pot. fill the pot with water just so thereis enough room for it to boil. cook on high tempeture till boiling, then lower the heat. check with a fork to see if the parsnip and carrots seem boiled enough and take everything out excepte the water. you can throw out all the carrots and stuff. put in noodles in the still boiling water, and once the noodles are done add the spices and leaves by taste. then you can leave it to boil for like two min and then its ready to serve:)
